The security of your data is very important to us. CALIPSO offers both electronic and physical security, which is constantly monitored and upgraded. This important feature allows our clients to maintain FERPA compliance.

Electronic Security

CALIPSO, LLC uses advanced technology for Internet security. When you access our site using a modern web browser, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects your information using both server authentication and data encryption, ensuring that your data is safe, secure, and available only to registered users in your facility. Your data will be completely inaccessible to anyone else.

CALIPSO, LLC requires that you set up each user in your organization with a unique user name and password that must be entered each time the user logs on. CALIPSO, LLC issues an electronic session "cookie" only to record encrypted authentication information for the duration of a specific session. The session "cookie" does not include either the username or password of the user. CALIPSO, LLC does not use "cookies" to store other confidential user and session information, but instead implements more advanced security methods based on dynamic data and encoded session IDs.

All data, including client databases, are backed up off-site.

Physical Security

CALIPSO, LLC utilizes Linode's data facility located in Dallas, TX. The facility holds SOC 2/3 certification and utilizes multiple methods of security including both physical and biometric security as well as trained security guards. All facilities are monitored 24/7/365. In addition, the data center has fire suppression systems as well as redundant power and cooling.
